He didn’t understand why she was crying. They were starting to get looks but Jeremy really didn’t care. He simply shrugged and put the rest of his focus on his wife. He was still in shock that they were going to be having another baby. It was a miracle to him after they had lost the last one. He pulled Magda into his arms and kissed her on top of the head. “I promise, Magda. I am not going anywhere. I’m careful now,” he murmured quietly.  “I’ll be even more careful. Okay?” he asked, giving her a soft look. “This isn’t going to be like last time. I won’t do anything to hurt our family.”

Jeremy smiled when she told him about the baby. His hand slid to her small stomach; it was a natural instinct. “The healers?” he said with a smile. “I’ll try not to go all healer-protective on you.” Because he knew other healers that did that with their pregnant wives too. Jeremy gave Magda a nod. “We can do this, Magda. And I’ll help in any way that I can. Just name it and I’ll do it,” he promised, his eyes full of promise and concern. “Do you need to go home? Do you need to rest?” Jeremy was definitely going to not be a slacker with this baby. He was going to be there for Magda like he wasn't able to be before. "Do you want me to talk to...Him?" Maybe he could work out a deal or something.
