“If Im going to be honest, I’m not a great scholar, you know. Skrumpkin gets better marks and he’s a Hufflepuff, don’tcher know. OH!”

She laughed at the look on his face and laughed. Others might have been insulted but she wasn’t. “Well, I guess there is a perk to having an older boyfriend then,” she said. He had already gone through the work she was doing. He could help her out with it then. It was cute, though, that he thought he had offended her. She knew Hufflepuff’s reputation, and she didn’t mind it. Proving people wrong was so much more enjoyable.

“Aboslutiment, my girl. Now I wonder…. I really should be able to think of a nice hidy-hole, not too drafty, and out of the way. I’ll put my mind to it.”

“I’ll think too. Two brains are better than one after all.” They would eventually find a place to call their own. And she couldn’t wait. They were totally in the “honeymoon” phase of their relationship and she was loving every second of it.

“Maybe somewhere we could do a little lurking?”

That had her grinning. “Oooh, I do love lurking!” he said. “We are both so good at it!” Yes, that would work. Oh this was so exciting. They had a thing. “We have a thing!” she exclaimed. Oh, Merlin, she was so was excited about this.

Hogsmeade was going to be another first for them. “You’re letting me choose?” she asked. “Okay…well, I usually like getting candy. Lots of candy.” But this wasn’t only about her. “But we can do what you want,” she assured him. “There’s two of us,” she reminded him. Tilting her head, Ava looked at him carefully. “Zonkos? Shrieking Shack?” She tapped her finger against her chin, trying to figure out what kind of thing he liked to do. “I can’t wait. We can lurk there!"
