“Hold on, princess. There’s a better way than that.”

She laughed, gripping his arms as he moved her into his lap. This was an all-new experience for her. Sure, she had snogged before but nothing to this intensity and certainly not in some boys lap. But this was not some boy. It was her boyfriend. And that was probably why there was that intensity. She didn’t know. She didn’t care. She could barely even think at the moment.

Ava was practically gasping each new place ffleurbert’s hands touched. A boy had definitely never touched her where he was touching her. It was electrifying. Her entire body was tingling. Ava didn’t know what to do with her hands. They braced against his legs, against his shoulders. They were wrapped around his shoulders. It was a REALLY good idea that they had gone somewhere private. Very private. She squeaked when he moved her and tried to keep kissing him but ffleurbert was slowing down.

The trouble with having a girl on your lap, ffleurbert discovered at this point, was that it was kind of… restricting. And he was feeling painfully restricted. With a quick shift of weight, he abruptly stuck his left leg our and slipped Ava onto his right thigh, pulling her head down onto his chest. Problem solved, and he could also catch his breath.

“…I’m glad your family are at a good safe distance…So… so… so , admitting that I am unused to …well, really having a girlfriend at all… Gosh.”

She was laughing as he kept trying to kiss her and talk to her. Oh, Merlin, he was right. If Gormley and Theo were here, they would be ripping ffleurbert apart. But as her face was being suddenly held in his hands, she stared at him, blinking a few times before breaking into a grin. “You’re sweet,” she told him. Ava wouldn’t admit it, but she loved hearing that she was lovely.  But he wanted to chat and Ava was wanting to kiss. But they probably should talk.

“… tell me about your cousin and your brother and that. They don’t really mind me do they? Not that it’s going to make any difference, because you are not getting away, my little rose bud. But, you know, I’d hate to be the cause or domestic strife.”

Ava stiffened immediately. Her family. Her domestic life. She didn’t talk about that. It just didn’t happen. Looking away, she nodded. “They’re fine with you. They were just giving you a hard time but they’re harmless.” She shook her head and went in for another kiss. “You’re fine,” she assured him before promptly changing the subject. “Sooo, how bout that quidditch?”
