“I fear we would count as well and truly country,” Said ffleurbert cheerfully. “But then, it’s hard to keep a stable in town.”

“And why would you fear that?” she asked him, more than happy to ask the questions rather than be the one asked. “Nothing wrong with the – wait a second…you have horses?” Ohh, how had she not realized this before? Ava was very excited about this. She loved horses, she loved any animals…but to actually own a horse!?

She nodded. It seemed like his family was very generous, even if it was simply allowing friends to be over. It wasn’t that her father didn’t allow friends over, he just didn’t really like having her friends over, and he didn’t hold back how he treated her all that much so Ava had learned to just not even bother. She wished her place was a place that she felt comfortable enough to bring friends to.

Ava could just imagine ffleurbert moving around his house as he described. She giggled. “Yes, I got lots of practice lurking too.” She giggled again at his kiss. “I’ll never get sick of those,” she told him, flipping her hair behind her shoulders she thought for a moment. “They have a pond that we play in…we go for walks…play at the beach….” Ava shrugged. Her and her brother and cousin never ran out of things to do.

“You really must come down sometime over the Hols. Do you suppose your mother would let you visit?”

And she stiffened again, more than he had yet to. Ava looked away, clearing her throat. “I’ll ask,” she said, not really wanting to go into it that she had no mother. “So…Millie, you close to her?” she asked, changing the subject again.
