Lizzie had no idea why she had done that. She certainly hadn’t planned on doing it. She hadn’t even thought of putting Tucker’s hand there. Actually she hadn’t thought at all. Thinking had nothing to do with it. It had just…happened.

So the problem was, what happens next? Because she knew she shouldn’t have. But ‘shouldn’t have’ and ‘wanted to’ seemed to be at odds. Only, what would Tucker think of her? She knew what Gil would say, and it wouldn’t be pretty.

But right now, she couldn’t very well talk, because Tucker was making sure her mouth was really busy. So Lizzie let her brain turn off for another minute, before she reached up and moved Tucker’s hand behind her head. Then when she was about to black out from lack of air, she broke off and held him at arm’s length.

“You are… well, you are just… ye’r something..Och, I dinna ken what ye are,” She said and kissed him quickly.

“Listen, Tuck, I didn’ae mean tae… I mean..” She looked down, embarrassed now. “I hope ye don’t think I’m cheap.” Her ears were beginning to burn now, but she pushed on, as best she could.

“Ye ken how sometimes… well, yer words come out wrong? Ye know what ye want tae say, but you say somethin’ different? Ye dae it al’ the time, sweet. But ye ken what I mean? Well, just now… it was a bit like that. Only..” She sighed and tried again.

“Tucker, I like you. I really, really ,really, really like you. I love kissin’ you. And the touchin’ and al’. And I love just being with you! And I just wanted tae show you how much I do.. and…” She couldn’t help herself. She couldn’t face him as she said it.

“I’m no a bad girl, Tucker. Dinna think I’m bad.”
