Well, it was all alright. Or, at least, it seemed to be. Sometimes with Tucker it was hard to tell just what was going on. First hs said they should go back to doing their homework, and then he changed his mind.

"Yeah. Sure. Sometime. Uh...look, I need to...um, I forgot that I had to go meet Joel for some, well, ya know, brother stuff.”

Lizzie looked at him, puzzled. What could be more important than this? She’d just let him… helped him get his hand on her tit and he wants to talk tae his brother?

“He's not really yet used to me having a girlfriend and all,"

“He’d better learn fast, laddie-o. Because yer no getting’ rid of me for the likes of Joel.” Brother on no brother, Joel could go whistle for Tucker as far as she was concerned. “Anyway, what about your homework?” After all, hers was finished. It was his that needed rescuing.

"But, tomorrow, if you're up for it and all...... we could have like an early morning picnic breakfast. So, tomorrow, right?"

“Right. I suppose.” She was confused by his hurry to get away. But at least he kissed her goodbye.

"Right," he added, walking backwards a few steps and smiling at her again. "Tomorrow,"

“Right. Taemorra, then.” Lizzie watched him as he ran out of sight. With a sudden thought she shouted after him, “Wait! Tucker, where taemorra?” But he was gone.

“It’s nae bleedin’ good tae make arrangements tae meet, if ye dinna say where, ye daftty,” She muttered.

Still it had gone alright. Or it seemed to have gone alright. She’d got her homework done, and they had kissed and that was … well, it was a bit frightening actually, but it had turned out alright. Except for Tucker running off.

That was just odd. Though boys were odd as a rule and Tucker was odder than most, so maybe it didn’t matter. As Lizzie gathered together the last of her things she shook her head.

Perhaps she should ask for advice. But whom? Not Millie; she was more mixed up that Lizzie herself, if the truth were known.

“Hazel,” Said Lizzie. “I’ll talk tae Hazel. She knows Tucker. And boys in general, for al’ o’ that, and she has sense.” She nodded her head, certain now. “I’ll talk tae Hazel.”
