Caitlin listened as Sabrina shared the struggles of fitting into a Muggle system after so long in the Wizarding one. It reminded her a bit of her first few years at Hogwarts and she'd have shared if she had the ability. As it were, she listened and nodded and smiled in indication that she followed and understood the difficulties that were being shared.

"Shall I be mother?”

Nodding, she held her cup out for a refill, adding her wants to it, and then taking a soothing sip of the warmth. Sabrina continued onward, this time her conversation taking a turn to the need for continual learning. Caitlin knew that her friend was right on that count, but right now it seemed easier to just sit back and let her family coddle her, even if she knew it was a silly and ridiculous thing to do.

"... I couldn’t do that if I didn’t know the basics.”

That gave Caitlin something to think on. It made sense. Even in magic, they had to start with the basics. She had been working hard at learning how to conjure items from thin air with the use of non-verbal magic and, had she never been able to do it with her voice, she may have been entirely out of luck. She purposely avoided consideration about the fact that she had never tried the Animagus spell with her voice; she didn't want to consider that door closed to her. Yet.

Setting down her tea, she was about to attempt some more communication when Gavin entered into the kitchen. She beamed a smile over at him behind Sabrina.

"I was wondering whereabouts you were," Gavin said, coming around the table to press a kiss to the top of his sister's head. "Didn't know you had company," he added, offering a smile to the girl across the table. "You're not letting the chatterbox hog the conversation, I hope," he teased, winking at his sister before introducing himself. "Name's Gavin; I don't believe we've met."

Not that it was terribly surprising; he knew he'd only met a few of Caitlin's friends. None quite this pretty, but that wasn't the point, was it?
