"We were about to compare notes on the joys of being Head Girl."

"Another woman of power. I'll be sure to watch my move," he gave what may have been a wink. Maybe. Unlike both of his younger siblings, Gavin hadn't dated all that much. A girl back in school and another girl during his short lived football career who had gently broken his heart a little over a year ago. It came down to his horrible flirtation skills and a shyness that few would ever expect from the pub manager.

Keeping his eyes firmly on her face and not allowing his gaze to roam, he listened as she gave her name. When she spoke Sinoi's name, his eyes darted sidelong to his sister before he looked back at her and gave a nod. "Sioni's a good lad. Upstanding sort and all of that."

“Anyway, why don’t you join us? Tea has been provided, and you can help me convince Caitlin that she should come shopping with me next week. It will be good for her to get out, I’m sure, and we can practice hand signals.”

"Too right it would," he said, taking a seat and giving a firm nod as he looked at Caitlin again. "She's right, you know. Moping about here isn't going to help you out in the least." Ignoring the look that his sister gave him, he looked back at Sabrina, giving a slight smile. "Hands signals? Like that signing language? Quite brill, really, seeing as this one," he gave Caitlin a nudge with his shoulder, "is too stubborn to write things out. We'll see if she's any less stubborn this way," he laughed, reaching for a biscuit.
