Caitlin nodded in agreement with Sabrina's praise of Sioni. For all that they had not worked out, in the end, she still knew he was a solid friend and one she could depend upon if the need arose.

“Oh, I wouldn’t ever say Caitlin was moping. It can’t be easy.”

At that, Caitlin smiled over at her friend, though it didn't last long before Gavin laughed, wrapping an arm around her shoulder.

"If you two wanna call it something else, I'll oblige."

She gave him a roll of her eyes, shrugging his arm off as she sipped at her tea while Sabrina explained about the hand signing. She still didn't know if she fully bought into it as it seemed a rather tedious bit of learning considering that few would be able to understand it. Of course, few could understand her currently, so perhaps learning these hand signals wouldn't be all that bad.

She was a bit lost in her thoughts on the matter when she heard Sabrina's tone sharpen and she couldn't help the tight smile that played across her face as she turned her gave to her older brother.

For Gavin's part, he looked a bit taken aback at the sudden turn in the conversation. Poking fun at his sister's condition was just part and parcel of being her older brother. He'd taken care of her, too. Held her when she'd been in tears and had done what he could to make her laugh. He didn't toss up a verbal defence, though. Instead, he glanced at his sister, looked back at Sabrina, and gave a very solemn nod.

"No. You're right. I probably could go a bit lighter on the teasing." He looked down into his teacup, both hands wrapped loosely around it. "So, former Head Girl, then? I can see why," he said, not an ounce of anything but respect in his tone. "Were you this tough on those in your charge back at Hogwarts?" he asked. "And just what does a former Head Girl find to do in the world with school behind her?"
