"Mmm. I could, but I don't think I should have to bother. "Maybe you ought to move because I told you to."

Tessa Greengrass was either impressing him or pissing him off. Sometimes at the same time. Ashby should've known that she would not compitulate quite so easily.

"And yet I have yet to hear a please. Where are your manners, Miss Greengrass?" Ashby commented dryly, raising an eyebrow at her response. He wouldn't have taken her smart comments from a mudblood but Tessa's pureblood status saved her from a good hexing. She, at least, knew the importance of blood. He would have had no trouble hexing a team mate if it weren't for the fact that he or she might squeal to the captain. That was something Ashby had no desire to have to deal with.

She flew past him on his right side. He pitched hard to the right but had to regain his balance. He grimaced as he turned sharply to follow after her. He cursed at himself mentally for not having the upper hand any longer. He sped after her. Due to her lighter weight, she had the advantage. Ashby leaned close to his broom to reduce the turbulence of the wind. Not having to avoid bludgers, he could now focus on flying alone.

He came up sharply, cutting her off and blocking her path yet again.

"You weren't that bad on the field today," he told her. It was probably the closest to a compliment that she'd ever hear from him. "Course, the seeker has to be the easiest position on the field," he added with a smirk. He knew well well that'd little jab would set up her off. He was bored, might as well make this afternoon at least a little bit interesting.
