"And yet I have yet to hear a please. Where are your manners, Miss Greengrass?"

"I only say please when there's someone worth impressing."  It was easier to get by him than she had anticipated, and she was busy congratulating herself when he surprised her by pulling up in front of her again.

"You weren't that bad on the field today,"

"
Nor you."  Tess replied with false sincerity.  "In the air though," she shrugged.  "well."

"Course, the seeker has to be the easiest position on the field,"

"The seeker, Mister Grayson, is the only position on the field with any real power."  She looked past him, toward the goal posts at the other end.  "If I hadn't caught the damn thing, you'd still be up here swinging your little bat."  After all, they couldn't have expected Hufflepuff to catch it.  "Of course, I might have caught it sooner if you'd bother getting a bludger off me from time to time.  You do recognize them, don't you?  Big metal things you're supposed to be responsible for."  Of course, it wasn't as bad as the first game, when someone had enchanted her broom to run away whenever a bludger came near.  That had been nearly impossible.

Tessa tried to pass him again, but he mirrored her movements, blocking her way each time.  "Grayson, you're such a child."  She snapped.  "Aren't you supposed to be going into sixth year?"
