“Not my style, but…I think I’d me more shocked to come up here and find you playing Duran Duran.”
"Are they your favorite? Synthpop doesn't quite work with a violin," he apologized with a shrug. "Besides, most of their songs repeat the same cords over and over again. It's their voices that do most of the work and the machines but I do know some modern muggle music," he commented as he tucked his violin under his chin. Soon the notes of 'Carry on my wayward son' was pouring from the strings. It wasn't uplifting either but at least it was more well known. He only played a minute but it was enough for her to get the gist of the song if she knew the band.

"I study at a music conservatory during the summer, they aren't quite keen when it comes to modern music," he said as he lowered the violin. Some of the professors truly frowned upon it getting on whole tirades of the lack of musical quality of modern music.

“I didn’t know you played. Does your brother too?”

Daniel chuckled at the thought of that one. "You'd have better luck giving this to an ape," Daniel commented as he lifted up the violin for her inspection, "and getting music then giving it to Ash."

"My dad was talent in music when he was alive. He played the guitar. So he figured that his sons needed to be as well. I got a violin and Ashby got a set of drums for one Christmas. I was seven and came down and there they both were with large red ribbons on them. Of course, I was kind of disappointed. I was rather hoping for a puppy. Mum had to put a major sound proofing charm on our house that year. Ash beat on them for a few weeks but never had the patience to deal with it and soon quit," Daniel told her.

Even with a tutor coming to teach them, Ash's drums were a complete cacophony and Daniel's work on the violin sounded more like dying cats then actual music. That had been the last Christmas before his father died and he had lost his vision. That was one of the last times that they were a normal family. Realizing he had drifted far to long in his memory, he blinked and was back in the present.

"Do you play anything Brigitte?"
