“And he doesn’t think we can afford one. Like they’re expensive.”

Daniel secretly thought that her brother's logic was sound. Maybe not the expensive part because, other then food and litter, he couldn't really think of a cat needing anything else. He was not about to bring that up to her. He tried to not rock the boat around people. His brother did that enough to bring down the Titanic. He did nod, as if he was agreeing with her.

“Sit. You’re making me tired just looking at you.”

Well, the conversation was running a bit long he supposed. Standing there holding a violin and a bow didn't count for practice either. He was meaning to start working on the newest piece of sheet music that his friend had just sent through the mail. It'd be rude to ignore Brigitte and he wasn't too sure he could concentrate with someone watching him work through a piece.

Daniel knelt down and gingerly placed the instrument in the velvet lined case. The bow was tucked in next to it. He closed it with a snap. He reached for his sheet music and frowned as it was no longer in the same location in which he had sat it.

The thing about dealing with his problem was a good memory was virtual. He knew his bag was at 1 o'clock, his staff with his robe was at 2. His violin was at 6 o'clock and his sheet music was supposed to be at 7. Supposed to be the keyword.

Well, he'd find them later. He might've tried doing an accio spell for them but that tended to end poorly. He wouldn't be able to catch most of them. Probably knowing his luck with magic, he'd get more paper cuts then anything.

He sat down crossed legged where he stood facing her. He leaned his chin on his palm.

“Which makes that a year without it.”

"Pure torture," he agreed with a grimace. He couldn't imagine being that long without any forms of music. He wondered if her brother was either super strict or Brigitte had gotten into all sorts of trouble. Maybe a little bit of both.

"Maybe there's a spell or something that can play music without a record player or walkman, have you looked?" Daniel asked after a moment of thinking about the problem.
