“Have you done a lot of reading on getting pregnant?”

He folded his arms across chest and didn’t say anything. They both knew that he wasn’t doing that so there was nothing he could say about that. Still, it didn’t mean he was going to believe everything that was read in a book.

“Potions for headaches can be dangerous for unborn children…Now you have two questions to ask healers. Both of which will make you look unprepared and foolish.”

Growling, Kaleb took a step toward her. “I would look more the fool and be more unprepared if I didn’t use every resource available to me to see what is best for my children. So, I will talk to a healer. That is final.” A fool didn’t have a tactic. A fool left things to chance. Kaleb was not a fool.

“You don’t have to…And we certainly don’t have to have one right now. We have plenty of time.”

His arms remained folded across his chest and he continued to fix a cold expression on his wife. “You’re right. It doesn’t have to be right now. And we do have plenty of time. But I don’t give a damn about that. I want the children close. I want this taken care of. The sooner I have a son, the less I have to worry about it.” Because how would it look if Kaleb Broadmoor didn’t have a son?

“You want a “day off” from doing your duty, fine. But this isn’t going to drop. We will have a child before Charlie is…three. But…if it’s another girl, we will keep trying. So I suggest you trying to get pregnant as soon as possible if you don’t want to be having children into your thirties.”
