“Thanks. I mean…you don’t have to. That’s a lot of work.”

Her confidence in him was outstanding, Daniel mused wryly. "Well you might find it first, you know. Even if I can't, I don't mind asking Flitwick," he assured her.

“I’ll probably get kicked out of school, then, though. You know…for having the music too loud. Apparently that’s a problem of mine.”

"Music isn't fun unless the walls are practically thumping with it," Daniel laughed. That was the theory of many of his friends back at the conservatory. He didn't enjoy music that loud personally but he knew many people did. He appreciated the feeling though. Sometimes, when music was turned up really loud, it was like the whole world ceased to exist and you just stood there with your heart beating in time with the music.

"I don't think Dumbledore would kick you out. Maybe stick you in a sound proof dorm room or something," Daniel assured her with a smile. He had never been one for getting into trouble, so he really wasn't sure if one could truly be kicked out for loud music. Dumbledore started the year out sounding really harsh, or at least Daniel had always thought so. He wondered if the headmaster did this to make sure that the first years knew he meant business. Yet any other time Dumbledore talked to the students, Daniel always got the impression that Dumbledore was tickled at some secret joke that only he got.

"If you're really desperate, I try to make it up here every Thursday. No Duran Duran though," he told her as he stood up. His hand moved to his wrist watch which was missing the glass face. He checked the time of the dials.

"If you will excuse me, I have to head to a tutoring session," he apologized as he started to gather up his things. He didn't bother putting his robe back on but instead slung it over his messenger bag. Daniel felt a little bit guilty for leaving Brigitte there but his tutor would kill him if he was late again.

"See you later, Brigitte," he told her as he started to walk towards the door, his staff guiding his steps.
