"No. No the Mews House. Charlie won't sleep anywhere but her crib."

“Is that a fact?”

Little things. Little things a dad should know about his little girl. Well, he was picking them up as he went along. It was the best he could do.

“Fair enough. Home along it is.”

"Well, I suppose I can think of some other things that need doing if you're free. And if my children don't wear you out too terribly."

“Well, they’ll have to try and see how it goes, isn’t it?” Sioni would love nothing better than to play with Grace, and if he could, get a chance to hold his daughter. Having his daughter, he knew was unlikely. Espa, for reasons of her own — probably very good reasons, too — didn’t want him near Siarli. He’d make an ally of her sister, then, and see how it went.

For a bachelor, Sioni did pretty well with kids. Partially through interacting with the vllage children as they came into Mamgu’s shop, partially with invitations to team members’ homes, partially through his own big-kid nature. When the team came out of the dressing rooms after a match, Kaleb was surrounded by blokes, Evan by young mothers and Sioni by ten year old boys. (And, he had to admit, a certain number of thirteen year old girls.)

"Charlie May need a bath as well, but I'm not going to torture you with that chore."

“I can manage to hose down a baby you know,” He said, chuckling. “Though, actually I’ll gratefully accept your offer to avoid that job, like.”

"I don't apparate with the children. We walked from home to the park, and it wasn't that far."

Sioni knew exactly how far. He’d been to their house often enough, though he seldom came to the park. “True enough,” He commented. “Here you go, ferch pert.  Take my hand.” They were coming to the drive that ran through the east end of the park, down to the promenade along the river.

"It will give Grace some time to burn off Energy.”

“Right!” Said Sioni suddenly, “Let’s burn some then! Off we go!” Holding Grace’s hand he ran to the little road, then stopped, laughing. “Back again!” He said, pulling Grace, who was giggling furiously back toward her mother. “Go again, ma’am?” He asked, though whether he was talking to Esperanza or Grace wasn’t clear. “I can do that all day,” He said. “And I’d be happy to do it, too.”
