He should be letting her go now. Letting her go and taking her hand - or maybe not taking her hand - and leading them out of the loo. He didn't belong in here. Even if he weren't a Prefect or had any desire to be one, he knew that this wasn't the right place for him to be. Sure, it had been important enough to break the rule when he needed to get T.J. to try to see what he saw in her, though that clearly hadn't worked - or maybe her kissing him had shown that it worked. He wasn't entirely sure on that point.

And he was absolutely telling Joel, though he gave a nod and sound that could be taken as assent to her request.

She started to babble. She started to babble and a grin started to tug at the corners of his lips. By the time she telling him this wasn't funny and that she hated him, he was practically grinning to beat the Cheshire Cat. And then he laughed.

"I could fall in love you, you know?" he said without a single bit of thought. His eyes widened at that and he was letting her go quick enough.

He did reach for her hand.

"But, uh, ya know, um, maybe, not in here? 'Cause, girls' loo," he stammered, tugging her towards the exit.
