Poppy considered the request. She wasn't given to allowing non-injured students to remain in the infirmary, but this time, she gave a nod.

"Miss Cunningham, let's call today a new start for you. Remain here and sleep. If you need a potion, let me know. I will inform the Headmaster that you're excused from your classes today. But," she cautioned, "you will still need to complete your coursework."

She took up the bag that Brigitte had dropped, and guided the young girl to the cot in the furthermost corner of the large room. It was the cot she used for longterm care. It had thicker curtains and a somewhat less sterile feel, despite that it was completely clean. Setting the bag on the chair, she motioned for the young witch to sit on the cot.

"You have today. Miss Cunningham, I know the future seems bleak. It doesn't have to be." She gave the young girl a grim smile, and then left, tugging the curtains closed as she did.
