"Anyway, aren't you graduating soon Grayson? It's about time you learned to do something for yourself."

Ashby ground his teeth in frustration. He was quite sure that Tessa Greengrass was put on this world just to torment him. He was almost sure of it. So many blubbered on about soul mates and such rubbish but with Tessa, she was the opposite of a soul mate. Whatever one could possibly call that. Not that the bitch could even be considered a soul mate since she seemed to be lacking the required soul.

He couldn’t complain to his uncle either. If he did, Sebastian Grayson would look at him in the much seen expression of ‘why are you wasting my time? You should be able to handle it’ look. Maybe Tessa knew that or maybe she just didn’t care. But he’d be damned if he was going to sit through class and do work.

He grabbed the book easily from her hands. Why people wasted their time with novels was beyond him. Making sure that his uncle’s back was turned, he tossed it towards the bookcase where the required book was stored.

“Go fetch,” he told her in a low smug voice much like one would command a dog.
