Ivy breathed a sigh of relief as she saw the list of partners. She was paired with Chase and didn’t mind that one bit. Thank Merlin it wasn’t Tessa who would probably look down her nose at her. Pippa would probably say something idiotic and get Professor Grayson mad. Ashby would try to control the entire project and the list went on. So as far as partners went, she got a pretty good one. Ivy’s opinion was validated when he got right down to business about the project.

"Quotes from the Prophet would probably be useful, though I don't know if we can get a hold of one. I'll go to the library after class and find out."

The worst thing about having partners is when a partner didn’t do anything. Chase wasn’t going to be like that. Thank Merlin. She maintained good grades in this class and the last thing she needed was someone bringing down her marks.

“I may have a few of them,” she told him. Did that sound weird? Probably. She couldn’t go around saying that she had noticed the name of the writer one morning and had started collecting articles from her, even one that was talking about the dull topic of repainting the phone booth outside the Ministry of Magic. Yet the writer, Seraphina Travers, could be somehow related to her. Maybe an aunt? Or a cousin? “Not the first one though but I’m sure that there has to be some archive we can access.”

“Also, I’m not sure what we should write. I think if we were just to write the facts about that poor woman’s murder, wouldn’t the essay be too short?” she asked, her eyebrows bunching up in concern. Professor Grayson would be harsh in his grading if he thought that they had slacked on their essay. She would almost bet her last knut on it.
