"Sit down,"

With that Lydia pulled on his hand. Out of habit, Daniel stretched out his towards the ground to feel the stones before sitting down completely. It was something he had learned to do in third year when Kibby Grey accidentally cause him to sit in a mud puddle.

He propped up his knees and rested his arms on them as he listened to Lydia talk about gossips. He wasn't surprised, he heard most of the rumors that went around the school and yes, he had even heard the one about the couple going to Aruba. Although, when he heard it, it had been Paris. But that didn't really matter.

"Just imagine what they could do to you, poor Danny. But don't worry, your good reputation is safe in my hands."

"Alright, I'll hold you to that. Just keep a eye out of them," Daniel said with a laugh. He couldn't imagine anyone think he would run off with any girl to Aruba.

"Eat this one, I don't like it,"
A piece of chocolate was presented to his mouth. Daniel jerked back a little before taking a sniff of it to see exactly what kind of chocolate she was offering him. It was one of those with the blueberry centers that felt like your sugar level sky rocketed everytime you consumed one of them. He had also been told it turned ones tounge a bluish purple.

"That's the problem with chocolates- not that I don't appreciate them, oh I do- you think you're getting one thing and it turns out to be exactly the opposite. But I guess that's a lot of the fun, too."

"You know, you could always just open them up and see what was inside before popping it into your mouth," Daniel suggested with a lopsided girn. That after all, was the logical thing to do.

"She's not the type to send a howler to a person until she's met them and likes them enough to take the time to be concerned. But if she ever met you, she'd send you one.

"They don't bother me. Did you know that they let off this high pitch sound when tossed into the fire, howlers I mean, not mothers, but I'm pretty sure they would probably do the same thing," he joked.

His own mum had her very own stack of them on her desk. She usually went through a good many during a week. He had gotten his fair share over the year, mainly due to grades, he in general received high marks just not as high as his father did when he attended.

"So did you get many roses for valentine's day?" he asked as he snitched one of her chocolates before popping it into his mouth. He chewed it up and started to blow bubbles due to the gum in the center.
