Grim mood seemed to have taken almost every student in the castle, and Daria was no exception. She had sat even through the Welcoming Feast only constrainedly, trying to ignore visibly lessened crowd in Great Hall, but instead she soon found herself noting the absence of people she used to know. For Daria it had been enough to have the tragedy really sunk in. She had left the Great Hall broody and silent.

Now following other Ravenclaws towards their Common Room, Daria only wanted to have something else on her mind, something to replace these haunting thoughts. She entered the room passively, her eyes searching for her friends, when she noticed a familiar face.

Daria smiled as her name was exclaimed, and Donaghan came rushing towards her. "Hi," - She whispered, returning the hug. Only now she realized that she hadn't talked to him for nearly three months, and she only managed to catch a glimpse of her friend few times today. "I'm happy you are alright too," - she responded.

"You are alright, aren't you?"

"Yes, I am,"- Daria replied and a small smile appeared on her face as she noticed a hint of worry in Donaghan's voice. "I wasn't there," - She added silently, smile now absent from her lips. She didn't want to talk about all that. For her it was enough to remember each time she looked at their fellow students' faces. Yet she couldn't ask something like 'How was your summer?' either. "You are alright too, right?" - She finally inquired, not knowing what else to say.
