7 galleons and 10 sickles... it was still the beginning of the month, so Anne happened to have all of her monthly allowance. Though this only turned out to be 9 galleons, and after buying the dress she wouldn't have much left for the rest of the month. But it was still enough and it was certainly worth it. Her eyes flashed with hunger and desire, and she pressed her lips together in an effort to control herself yet again.

"I'd very much like to buy it..." She said quietly, but with a supressed urge in her voice. She needed that dress. Anne was usually very responsible with her money, and was not taken to spending great deals in one place, but this dress broke every rule she'd ever fashioned for herself concerning finances. "Please..." She added, breath catching once again in her throat.

Blue eyes filled with panic flicked over to Contessa, and her lips pressed together again as she spoke. She knew she couldn't compete with that. And the clerk wouldn't want to anger such a customer. But Tess didn't want the dress! She didn't want it for a good reason, anyhow. Surely the man must see that.

"Please... I can't offer you the same... but it's so beautiful." She nearly breathed, her voice brimming with controlled passion. Yes, it was only a dress. But it was so much more. It was a chance to be someone new, something different, if only for one night. "I... please..."
