Plum was the closest she had ever been to wanting to kiss Joshua Cloud.

Do note: we did not say that she was close to the actual deed. We must be very clear about this. But even Plum could not deny that he had gone above and beyond everything that she could have asked of him. She had a winning game Quaffle wrapped in red paper under her arm. And even if she was sick from the side by side apparition, she was still light-headed with giddyness.

She was going to see Luke. And he wanted her there. He had, in essence, asked her to be there. It was his birthday (and her's, too, but she wasn't thinking about that), and she'd get to see him for his birthday, and she had a present for him.

"He'll love it, Mr Cloud," Plum said, gripping Josh's elbow for emphasis. "I know it, I know he'll just love it."

She had, unwillingly of course, mentioned a brother to Josh. Nothing more than was necessary, though. She was not about to expose all of her weaknesses to that one, friends or not.

Plum had, as a sort of tribute to Luke's girlfriend, wore her own red shoes. Though, she was rather less conservative than Michelle, and so Hogsmeade would find her in one of her yellow dresses, with a red bag, red belt and off-white cardigan. Conservative, to a point, she had decided.

"Thank you," she said to Josh again as they made their way towards Puddifoot's (for Plum had no idea where that was). "Thank you, Mr Cloud." She was walking on the tips of her toes, all a-flutter. She would get to see Luke! She would get to see him and talk to him and he hopefully wouldn't yell again. "Thank you," she continued, though maybe as she repeated it quietly, it wasn't so much directed at Josh anymore.
