Michelle would rather like being a receptionist if that meant that she got to know people like Josh Cloud. That would be the job to have, indeed.

"You have very pretty shoes," Plum said, smiling at Michelle.

Who could help but beam at that kind of compliment? Thank you, she said. And your shoes are stunning, really. There was something wonderful about the fact that they had both worn their red shoes today. Perhaps they were both trying to impress. Or maybe they were just two peas in a pod. Maybe a little smidge of both.

And then Plum suddenly introduced herself, seeing as how Luke had failed to do the honors for them, and Michelle shook her hand warmly, smiling. Luke had really not told Michelle anything at all about his sister, so she couldnt exactly return the comment per say, but she did her best. Im just glad you dont mind me joining you today, she told her.

As Michelle watched, Josh Cloud turned and left, and Luke made his way back towards them, strutting and smiling in such a cute way that she wanted to pinch his cheeks and kiss his nose. Michelle settled for smiling at him and taking his arm, looking about him for that scrap of paper hed just tucked away. If he wasnt going to show it now, hed better plan to show it to her later, or he would be in trouble. It was the least he could do for making her go to Puddifoots again, even if the place did have some rather tender memories associated with it now.

She gave Lukes arm a soft squeeze. I want to give you your present, she told him, so lets hurry up, yeah?
