Luke grinned, quite pleased, as Michelle pulled out gifts and handed them over, he staying his hand barely long enough for Plum to open her own. When he saw the gorgeous scarf, his grin nearly split his face in two; this was why he liked Michelle so damn much. The perfect gift for Plum, the fashion model. Of course, that was before he plucked up the card as she attempt to surreptitiously hide it under the scarf.

He wasn't nearly as good at hiding his emotions as Plum had been. Luke hadn't told Michelle that Plum was a Squib for twofold reasons a) he honestly didn't think about it and b) Plum had seemed so upset about telling him, he didn't think it was his place. However, handing the card back and still plastering a smile to his face, he wished he'd have done so. For Plum's sake. And Michelle's.

It took him a heartbeat to recall that he had a gift, too. In an attempt to make any akwardness feel like it hadn't actually happened, he quickly tore into his gift, his brow furrowing as he started to remove tissue paper.

"Bloo-," he cut himself off, giving a quick glance at Michelle, "did ya get me paper?" he finished lamely as he managed to finally get to the bottom of the box and then his face lit up. The box, and paper, fell to the floor as he tugged out the watch and examined the face of it, flipping it over and looking at it from every angle as he spoke. "Brilliant! This is brill!"

He was so excited about it, turning the watch action and setting the time, he almost missed Plum's comment about the gift she brought for him.

Almost.

"Oh! Well, then, hand it over!" he demanded, taking the round shaped gift as she handed it to him, and handing his watch over to her to examine while he ripped into her gift.

He knew, before he opened it, that it had to be a Quaffle and so he wasn't too terribly excited; he had himself a few laying about afterall. His brow furrowed when he managed to get the wrapping off and it took him a few moments to start to recognize a few of the inky scrawls on the object. The longer he looked, the more it occured to him and then his mouth dropped open as he turned the Quaffle around and around. "Max Sterling. Edward McManus. Douglas Nickles. Caitlin Shine-Downs." He stopped reading the names outloud as he turned the ball around and tilted his head to make out letters, though he still mouthed them.

His eyes shot up to Plum's. "This is signed by the whole team," he said in a hushed awe.

Little did he know that the ball was more than just that.
