Still walking, he looked askance at her, his blue eyes sparkling with mirth at her declaration. It hadn't been what he'd been expecting, which was precisely why he loved it so much. She never ceased to surprise him with her reactions to things.

Affecting a heavy sigh and a downcast look, he slipped his arm from his shoulder and drug it over his uncovered head.

"Blast," he cursed lightly. "Ah well. I'll just have to plow through my list of other girls and see which one might work out better then. It's a shame too," he continued, "I was looking forward to all the ridiculous cuddly, googly-eyed fun we could have in the commons to drive everyone all batty."

They'd reached the turn back onto the main road of Hogsmeade by this point and Luke had come to a halt, sticking out his hand with all the solmenity he could muster. At this point, it was very little.
