His eyes danced with mirth as she glanced up at him though he felt a slight twinge of discomfort at the same moment. Discomfort simply because he knew that she was still very much an innocent; perhaps teasing her in such a manner, despite the fact that he didn't mean it, needed to be curtailed. That idea gave him mixed emotions.

Of course her next words had him tossing those former concerns right out the window as he only moved back to her, slipping an arm around her waist to bring her close to him as he started them back down the street.

"A room would take care of that, too," he commented, unable to keep the grin from his face as he glanced down at her. A rare thing for him, really. Most every girl he'd dated had been at least as tall, if not some taller, than him. "You wanna head back? If we get back early enough, I could probably manage to get some food from the kitchen and we could have ourselves a bit of an indoor picnic near the fire and skip out on the hassle of dinner."
