Her attempt to not giggle was cut short by a shriek when he tugged her around, a blush coloring the apples of her cheeks as he pressed a kiss to her before he was instructing her to take a seat - which she did. Directly, her brown eyes lifted to meet his as he slid a package over to her, a smile alighting on her face as she, with childlike glee, tore the package open gasping when she saw the slender silver circles.

Reverently, she lifted one and then the other turning them to examine the engravings.

"J'espere," she breathed, the French word falling with ease from her lips. Slipping it over her slender hand, she then read the second. "J'aime." Grinning, she looked over at him as the second followed the first, the silver clinking together. "Matthew, I love them! I'll wear them. Always," she promised in the way of first loves.

Then, with slight hesitation, she tugged out the small box she had gotten for Matthew, suddenly wondering if perhaps she should have gotten something less...enginey...than she had. Plastering on her biggest smile, she slid the box across the table to him, biting her lower lip.

"I hope...it's all right," she said.
