"Good. Now that that's out of the way, what say we dig into this plate of goodies, hm?"

She agreed as he pulled her hands from hers but didn't touch the plate. Normally she wouldn't have waited either, she loved sweet stuff. But there were far too many butterflys floating in her stomach at the moment for her to really do anything. There was still an apparent pink her cheeks. So instead, she rest her chin in her palm and watched him.

"You know, there's something different about you. I can't quite figure out what it is."

Marni grinned. She was glad he noticed, even if he'd only just now noticed. "I'm just-"

"It's something though. Let me see if I can guess. I'm pretty good at this."

She laughed, "Alright Fabian. Go ahead, guess." She didn't think it would be too hard, the changes were obvious enough to her after all.

"Haircut? No. Did you charm your eyes? I mean, they seem a bit brighter than normal. Or, wait, did you use some teeth whitening charm? I tired one once. On Ki...on a friend."

She sat up looking at him unblinkingly. He'd almost mentioned Kibby, she hadn't missed it. His former girlfriend, Kibby Grey, was a huge concern of Marni's. While never one to listen to gossip, lately she'd indulged heavily in it. She wanted to know all the details of the break up but all she seemed to be getting was that it was recent, and that it was messy.

"Yeah. On a friend. Turned he-his teeth bright green. Not terribly attractive."

She tried not to get jealous immediately. "I just put some make up on, did my hair, wore some nicer clothes." she said, her lips curving into a smile. "D-do you like it? Or is too much?" she asked. She was so sincere with him, always wanted his opinion, always took it into consideration, always eager for his approval. Plus, at the moment, she really wanted to get the focus back on herself, or at least the two of them, and off Kibby.
