The vein in his temple continued to throb with anger, he clenched and unclenched his jaw, doing his best not to explode right then and there. She was being vague but Matthias had long since learned to read between the lines in cases such as these. He folded his arms over his chest, his breathing slowed to a rythmic pace, almost a calm before a storm.

"I fell for them. It's my fault."

Matthias stared out the window hard for a moment, "No, it's not." he said. He took her hand again. He pushed up the sleeve gingerly once more, giving her a soft look, catching her eyes which were still full of pain yet infinitely hollow. He hated seeing her like this. He hated that someone thought they had the right to take what belonged to him as a husband. What was more, against her will. He studied her wrist for a long moment, anger building.

He looked back up at her, all business, completely pissed and only managed to get out the word, "Who?"
