Temporary drop in number of costumers after the attack in March was long gone, and tonight the small, dingy pub was bustling with people as ever. This, of course, meant a busy evening for Deryn with non-stop keeping up with orders, bringing desired drinks and even preventing a couple of fights between ill-humoured patrons. Truth to be told, she preferred it this way. The gloomy pub felt more lively, she didn't have to droningly count hours until her shift was over or retreat behind the bar with a newspaper someone had left behind.

The only disadvantage was that such fast pace did get tiring after few hours, especially since Deryn had had quite a trying day at Auror school earlier. She found herself taking every opportunity, when she would get a free minute, to rest at the bar. The young woman was sitting on one of the stools now too, after having just served a mug of Ogden's to a lone, worn-out witch in the far corner. Jiggling her foot, she watched the patrons in case she was needed at one of the tables.

Her attention was sidetracked as a creek of the door announced the arrival of another costumer, the sound making Deryn simultaneously jump off the chair in impulse. The newcomer made his way straight to one of the tables, but Deryn halted in following him, suddenly realizing that she knew this wizard.

The barmaid raked through her mind for a name to associate to his face for several moments before he called her, and his voice triggerred something in her memory. Sean Delaney, a colleague of Athena's, whom Deryn was introduced to by her friend a good while ago.

Grinning, she now approached Sean's table. "Sean," She nodded to him in greeting. "What brings you to Hog's Head of all places?" The young wizard hardly seemed like the type to frequent such pubs.
