The next set of events occured far too quickly for Bellatrix to possibly keep track of. What she took most note of, however, was that Lucius had instantly paused in his attack and that Dumbledore had produced some form of magic that she had never before encountered or heard described, but the eerie prickle that worked its way over her scalp and the pulsating of the spell in the room gave her every indication that this wasn't a spell to mess about with - and that the spectacled wizard holding his wand on Lucius wasn't in the mood to be disobeyed.

It was the crack of Lucius apparating that had her moving in short order and following his lead. That they were leaving behind two of their own didn't phase her in the least and a moment later the space that had contained the sadistic witch was empty.
