Dumbledore

Exhaustion swept over him as the last of the still viable Death Eaters disapparated and, pulling on his reserves of strength, he followed the precise and complex moves to counteract the light spell that he'd created only moments earlier. He didn't use energy to look over at his brother even as the other harrumphed a comment about how much it would cost to fix the gaping hole in the roof. He barely spared a moment to allow his gaze to linger on the eerie green image that still floated above the building.

Instead, his strength was reserved for checking on those around him. None of his own seemed the worse for the wear, fortunately (his eyes scanning to see if the other man who had been in the pub were still there - but not seeing him, he moved on). Except for Leathan who though physically was intact...

Albus reached the man's side and placed a hand on the top of his head, his eyes having lost their sparkle and his voice somber.

"Don't let yourself second guess your actions, Leathan," he said quietly. "If you do that, they have still won. You acted to save not just your ownself, but myself and, ultimately, your action has saved countless others certain horror by the man's hands."

That said, he left the man to deal with his own heart as he turned to the others. "Rabastan, Helena," he said nodding at each in turn, "I'm sure that you, and your colleague, can make a full report to the Ministry. Filius and Minvera," he said turning to the two, "if you two wouldn't mind remaing behind to assist Aberforth with cleaning up what you can and, Minvera, if possible, see if the roof can be repaired."

He cast an uncertain glance at the gaping hole before turning to Horace and Pomona. "I need you two to come to my office with me. I'm sure that the Ministry will send someone to speak with us about this mishap."

Having given instructions, he then made for the door to head back to the school.

Leathan

He hadn't done it. He hadn't. It was the only thought that ran through his mind to the exclusion of all else. He missed the end of the battle, his eyes squeezed tightly shut. Somehow he hadn't ever anticipated that using the killing curse could so deeply wound his own soul. And yet, as each second passed, he could feel it more and more. A building, deadening ache.

It wasn't until the pressure of a hand made it's presence known on his head that he realized that the sounds of curses and hexes had ceased to be replaced with the sounds of quiet talk and the wind blowing through the gap in the roof. He knew that the words Albus spoke were meant to give succor, but they didn't, though he nodded all the same.

Once the Headmaster had left with the other two Professors, Leathan stood slowly to his feet, a touch shaky, and looked to Helena and Rabastan. "The sooner we get it done, the better," he said, his eyes moving slowly around the battlezone before he turned to the man he had killed and, with a flick of his wand, the body was floating towards him.

A moment later, he diapparated with a pop, the body making a double pop. He would leave it for Helena or Rabastan to bring the still breathing man with them.

Filius

Though Filius knew that Albus had the ability to produce a lightspell - the two had discussed the theories and the uncertainties behind such a powerful spell on many occasions - it still stunned the diminuative wizard when the spell was used, a sense of both dread and pure wonder easing through him.

It wasn't until Dumbledore ended the spell that he breathed with ease, though. Even the innocuous spell that the one Death Eater had used to bring another's body to him - even the apparations - could have ignited the spell had Albus's power been off by a hairsbreadth. He nodded at the instructions from the Headmaster at lenght and then, as the others left, he turned his efforts towards applying his charm work at cleaning the place up.
