It was early. Really early. And such Kaycee usually wouldnt have gotten out of bed till around noon, but this weekend wasnt exactly your average weekend at Hogwarts. For the first time in awhile they were actually allowed to venture off the grounds, and for this seventh year that was a huge event. After being trapped in the castle day in and day out, the scenery got... well dull. And the people all seemed to be doing the same thing over and over.

It drove him nuts.

So Kaycee had actually set his alarm and gotten up early to get ready. And now dressed in his best robe, new boots, a pair of muggle jeans and a green sweater that matched his Slytherin scarf, he set out before his dorm mates even got out of bed.

Although he would lead others to believe that he was simply leaving early for the change in location, Kaycee did have other motives in mind. Leaving early meant he was the first one out of the common room, which meant he had no chance of running into Arie.

Although the two had never gone this long without speaking, Kaycee still felt the need to drag out the process awhile longer. Just to make her sweat. It was fun to watch if nothing else. Kaycee wasnt an idiot. He knew she liked him. He was just sort of testing her boundaries. Or rather testing his own maybe? Kayc always knew there was something different about Arie compared to all the rest, but he simply figured it was because he knew her longest.

Kaycee ONeil didnt do the love thing.

Hogsmeade was... well empty. In a few hours it would be packed full of students bouncing from store to store, eager to spend all their pocket change on trivial things like sweets and joke paraphernalia. Stupid. Pointless. Bits of junk.

Kaycee didnt venture down from the castle to buy dung bombs or acid pops. He left his warm sheets this morning for the soul reason of it was a Hogsmeade weekend... and Deryn Bateman should be working that particular morning.

Although Deryn was much older then Kaycee, that had never stopped him from flirting with the Auror in training. He was taken with her in a way. She was certainly the only attractive older woman around. That he could go for anyways. There was a certain Defense Against the Dark Arts professor who could make a run with the best of them, but she was apparently off limits.

So Kaycees constant ventures for an older woman brought him to the Hogs Head nearly every Hogsmeade weekend. Lucky Deryn.

Pushing open the door to the small pub now, Kaycee took a moment to stomp the snow from his boots and shake the excess from his robes letting his eyes adjust to the dull inside. A quick look around made him grin slightly as he noticed her light brown hair peaking up from behind the paper.

Taking off his scarf, Kaycee moved slowly across the floor taking a seat directly in front of her knocking on the bar to signal his arrival. Deryn my love, he grinned leaning both his elbows on the hard surface before him. You look even more ravishing then last time I saw you. Did you do something to your hair?

[ooc: blah wrong account again >.<]
