When Billy had asked Jacquie if she wanted to sneak down to Hogsmeade and have a couple of drinks, she was so surprised that the two books she was floating around her head so that she could read them better whilst she was studying had fallen straight to the floor. She wasn't sure if she was more surprised that he was talking to her again, or that he wanted to get drunk with her. Jacquie was losing track of who was talking to her and who wasn't. She had thought about arguing with him. After all, they were supposed to be setting a good example as prefects, but then she had figured what the hell. She could use a break from studying anyway. And the chance to spend time with Billy was not something that she wanted to pass up.

So there she was, sitting at the bar of the Hogs Head, next to one of her close friends, beer in front of her. Well atleast she thought he was one of her close friends. She lost track sometimes of whether it was an on week or an off week for them. She looked at her half-full glass, trying to keep from swaying. Jacquie was a little girl after all, and she didn't drink much at all.

She was trying to listen to what Billy was saying, but it seemed that the more that he drank, the thicker his accent became, and she was starting to have trouble understanding every third word or so. She did manage to make out though that he had asked her if she still wanted to be an auror, and something about seeing Malcolm. She was surprised that he was talking about her and Malcolm in the same sentence, knowing that that was a bit of a touchy subject. "Yeah, I still want to be an auror, but I think I am going to become an interrogator. That's the Teddy Bear's department." Of course if Elphais Haddock knew that Jacquie was calling him a teddy bear within the earshot of others, he would probably kill her.

"I'm going to be a bum... or a plumber. Yay for ambition!"

She leant over and patted her friend on the back before using the same hand to balance herself against his shoulder. "That's it Billy, aim for the stars! I always knew that you would do well."
