Curiosity killed the cat, they said, but in this situation it was only natural for Deryn to feel intrigued, and tad unnerved too, by the young man's scrutiny pointed at the lone dark-haired girl at the table. Her question snapped him from his thoughts and back to reality, but even so he was still focussed on his schoolmate across the room, save for momentary glance at her, as he ordered more drink.

Or.. Make that two, while youre at it. And bring that girl here, would you?,

Pausing for a moment, she gave the wizard a long, calculating look before nodding in response. "Sure thing," She responded, passing two Ogden's instead of one his way and casting a quick glance at the young witch as he nodded towards her. Deryn didn't know what to make of his request to bring the girl, but without a question she set off to do so, glancing at him over her shoulder once more as she walked across the room.

"Here you go," She placed the previously ordered drink on the table in front of the girl, before leaning towards her. "That young man over at the bar asked me to bring you there," The barmaid spoke, her eyes fixed to the young witch's face as she tried to notice a flicker of any emotion, which would give out any clue on what really was happenning between these two Hogwarts students. Just as the aforementioned wizard had done before, she nodded slightly in his direction too, even though she was sure that in both cases it was utterly unnecessary.
