During her still quite short career at Hog's Head Deryn had managed to pick up some common nuances in the patrons' behaviour, which made working there so much easier, not to mention with the smaller risk of getting hexed or at least threatened for unintentionally interupting the shady businesses between the customers. So this evening instead of hurrying to the man, who still haven't ordered anything, she stood at the bar, observing this lone young wizard at the table, who was clearly waiting for someone, hence this repeated glances at his watch.

He was definitely an atypical one among the rest of Hog's Head clientele. With a slight hint of amusement, Deryn noticed that he was eating an apple ever since his arrival. And, of course, the blonde witch couldn't possibly not notice his unusual choice of the detail of his attire, a bowler hat. This wouldn't have been that unusual if the wizard had been a plump, balding man in his mid-fifties, but he couldn't actually be older than her, most likely younger.

Deryn was still gazing at him with interest, when the man stood up and headed towards the bar. "What can I get you?" She inquired, walking towards him. Nodding as he ordered the drink, she got right to it, yet looking up at him as she did so. "Nice hat, by the way," The petite girl grinned, unable to fight the temptation to comment on it.
