Orion looked up as Gawain entered. So Mr. Gloom & Doom had finally arrived. If anyone was missing a broom handle, it could be found shoved up the Gryffindor's arse. Orion foudn the boy to be a bore and a bit of a brown noser. No doubt, he would rise quickly in the Ministry ranks. In general, he had an avid dislike for Gawain but found him a rather easy mark.

"Good Morning," he greeted raising his coffe in salute. Let the fun begin.

"Not women,"

"Now that's a bloody shame, Gawain 'ere's disappointed," Orion remarked matching Leathan's deadpanned voice as he nodded to Gawain. But the effect was broken with a cheeky grin soon after his comment.

"Today we're getting ready to head out to the field,"

"About time! And I thought you Aurors did nothing but sit around doing paper work. Or scared kids doing magic during summer. Meaningful stuff like that," Orion remarked as he jumped to his feet ready to rush out the door. So apparently the Aurors weren't completely useless...as far as cops went. Orion had a very low view of police in general, muggle or wizard. The fact that the people responsible for the Diagon killings weren't caught yet made the view of aurors sink to an ultimate low, if that was possible.

"A Janice Sobel reported seeing a man covered in a cloak with a mask on in her neighbors backyard last night - her neighbors are Muggle. She reports seeing a bright red light and a flash of green,"

"Do you think someone was killed?"

Orion rolled his eyes. He knew far well what a green light meant. It was one of the nice little light shows that went with the killing curse.

"Nope. The figure in question was mooning the muggles and needed a green light so those in question would get a better look," Orion said sarcastically to the brown haired intern.

Hey if you asked a stupid question, you should expect a stupid answer.

Now that he had insulted Gawain for the day, he moved onto the case business. Wizards were stupid sometimes and this was a prime example of it, as far as Orion was concerned.

"Well you guys are coming, ain't ya?" he asked as he was already walking out of the cubicle and weaving himself around the maze of offices.

"The guy's an idiot. If one was going to go sneaking around in a muggle neighborhood, you didn't dress up like some freak show from 'alloween. Wearing a cape and a mask made the guy more memorable to the witness. Now if the bloke in question had 'lowered' himself to wearing nondescript muggle clothing, then he wouldn't have been noticed as easily. And the green light? That's two strikes against him. Obviously, the bloke thinks he's untouchable or this is just his first job and he really is stupid," Orion commented as he sidestepped a waste bucket.
