"Nope. The figure in question was mooning the muggles and needed a green light so those in question would get a better look."

And so it began. The motor-mouth who didn't know how to shut his trap. Having already endured too many hours of snide remarks and sarcastic retorts from Mr.Orion Madison, all Gawain wanted to do was hex the idiot so bad he wouldn't know what hit him. All he did was yap, show off to every pretty girl that walked by him, and strut around as if he were King of the Universe. King of Slime, was more like it.

"I wasn't talking to you," Gawain muttered coldly, fuming. Not the best retort, really, but Gawain wasn't the greatest at them, anyway. He couldn't help it. He was just not one of those people who could let things slide, nor was he the kind of person who could handle being showed up by a bloke like Orion.

The reasoning for Gawain's question had been rather simple, really. If no one was killed, that could mean that the fight had occured between wizards, the victim being able to have evaded the attack, which might explain why the witness had only seen one man there. However, the more likely scenario was of course the killing of innocent Muggles. But it did seem strange to Gawain that a wizard would want to target a group of innocent Muggles undercover of darkness without a reason ... it couldn't have been a ploy to be noticed, after all, if he had waited till night to attack. The Muggles had to have been known by the wizard, at least. Because if he was targeting them just for a random killing, why take the trouble to go the house? Why not do it in a public place or something?

But ... Gawain hated to draw conclusions without actually knowing anything about the crime. Which was why he was keeping his mouth closed. Unlike the resident yammer-mouth over here, who seemed to love the sound of his voice so much that he couldn't shut up.

"The guy's an idiot. If one was going to go sneaking around in a muggle neighborhood, you didn't dress up like some freak show from Halloween. Wearing a cape and a mask made the guy more memorable to the witness. Now if the bloke in question had 'lowered' himself to wearing nondescript muggle clothing, then he wouldn't have been noticed as easily. And the green light? That's two strikes against him. Obviously, the bloke thinks he's untouchable or this is just his first job and he really is stupid."

And there he went ... acting like he knew everything that was to know about anything.

"Oh please," the reasoning behind Orion's logic did not make much sense to Gawain. "I don't think people like him would care much about attracting Muggle attention. As long as his face was hidden so he could remain anonymous, he probably didn't care who saw him on that Muggle street ... "

Thinkng that that now was as good a time as any to voice some of the opinions he held, Gawain decided to speak them.

"Besides," he continued, "If he wanted to be noticed, I don't think he would have waited till nightfall to target a random Muggle house, in the hopes that someone would see him. No ... I think there was a specific reason he was there that night, and it wasn't that he wanted to be 'memorable'." Gawain shot a glance at Orion, who continued to have that foolish grin on his face.

"But if you ask me...there's no point in discussing this further until we actually get there. Unless you have more concrete information." He looked questioningly at Leathan.
