For someone jinxed with the first day jitters, Eddie was hiding it rather well. Lips just about ready to erupt in laughter like it did most of the time around Gid, he stopped his small trut to the two men and as expected he laughed. "Eddie! They actually let you in? What is this world coming to, eh?" 'Twas nice to know that even with the happenings right outside their doors Gid could still be his humurous self and entertain his audience. Shaking his head - sending multiple chocolate-fudge-coloured curls flapping through the air - he wasted no time in sending a reply Gid's way.

"I've been wondering that since I saw you here. What did you do? Charm the Head with your good looks and an expensive meal for two at Madam Puddifoot's?" he asked in a serious-mock tone.

"I don't know Eddie, that's a bit of an ask. The boys have all sorts of rituals they inflict on people who are late their first day. It's an offence punishable by death."

If it hadn't been for the laughter that came forth from Benjy, Eddie would have been just about to believe him and run back out the door to persuade another career, one where employees were taken in consideration for their value. "Interesting... I shall let whomever has the brilliant idea of arriving late on their first day know about it then," he said. No need to go ahead and scream it at the top of his lungs that he was late on his first day. Perhaps Benjy was joking, but who promised the fact that some co-worker would decide to take a liking to the suggestion. No, he still had a many things to accomplish before he'd get roasted over the blazing fire like a chicken, or boiled in a cauldron of stew, or thrown in an oven by the old bat of the place, or... "Tell me you were atleast paying attention when they told you where your desk was. As much as I love being a tour guide, I can't lead you two round all the time."

Of course he had been paying attention when Rufus was showing him around, just not where they were going. Clearing his throat, he scratched the side of his face and said, "I was paying attention! I know the cubicle is 33, and I swear it is not my fault if all the rows look alike... I... I..." sighing here, "Oh alright I may actually need an escort to the cubicle this once. Though if you directed me in the right row I would be able to find the desk, unlike a certain mister here."

"Have they introduced you two to any of the other field agents? Or the intelligence analysts Eddie? If not, you boys are in for a real treat."

"Don't know about Gid, but as far as I know, wasn't introduced to anyone. Seemed like the big guy had better things to do other than introduce me around." To Eddie that was how the interview had went. A few words here, a gesture of the hand, another string of short words and shove in that general direction.
