Positively fuming, Alyssa sat in the dark corner, brooding over the comments just made to her. She sipped the strong liquour before her and tried to drown her sorrows and feelings for her husband. He'd been so perfect in every way... and then, well, he'd made a wrong turn and he'd made it in the presence of the wrong girl.

It seemed everytime she depended on someone they went down the wrong path and Alyssa felt forced to hand out retribution. It was hard life and she felt doomed and condemned to do the right thing.

Alyssa was jerked from her thoughts, however, as someone was joining her.

"Uh..'Lys?" He raked a hand through his hair and took a seat without asking.

Alyssa glared as Elphais dared to disturb her and sit in front of her so sheepishly when he had so adamantly and blatantly insulted her before. "What?" she said dryly.

"A drink? On me? Consider it an apology?"

Alyssa stared for a second. She wanted so desperately to be upset. Yet, somehow, with him standing before her seeming so sympathetic and truly sorry... she couldn't. "Fine." she said and turned to the waitress, giving out another drink order.

"Whyw ould you say that to me?" she added after a moment.
