The room had filled up with all those taking on interns and, giving a nod at his secretary who just poked her head into the door, the door was opened and the interns entered. Following the instructions given to them, they each took a seat at the large conference table, a few of them looking about ready to lose their last meal. Once all were seated, Rufus gave as friendly a smile as he was able.

"Goodday, interns. Some of you," he met the more familiar eyes of a few of last years interns, "will feel far more comfortable in your surroundings these next few months. As for the rest of you," he said, meeting eyes that weren't familiar, "welcome to a summer in which you will learn much and where you will be well and truly tested. Before I read out your assignments, each of those here will introduce themselves and give a little bit about what they do."

Giving a nod at Leathan, the tall Auror stood and gave a broad smile.

"Name's Leathan Collier. I work in the Auror Department as a Field Agent. It is, unquestionably, the most demanding position within the Auror Department. Not only are field agents the first called upon to head out into the fray and fight those who would desire to harm the innocent - and the not so innocent - we are expected to be able to do basic crime scene investigation, on the spot intelligence, some interrogation and quick profiling. Yes, there are positions within the department dedicated to each of those - you'll hear from some of the best in each shortly - and do much more indepth work in those areas, but as a Field Agent, you are expected to do it all. It's not easy," he said, giving the interns a hard look, "but, if you can handle the pressure, you'll find that there is no more satisfying way to spend your life."

((OOC: Following Leath's lead, please add your adults brief explanation of their job. If you and another have the same type of job, it's fine to add their own special take on it. Interns, feel free to post in. Ask questions of the adults, etc.))
