Leathan's booming laugh hit across the distance between him and Josh and Morela as he turned a few of the bangers about on the grill. Tossing Morela a wink, he took a sip of his beer as he turned about to lean languidly against the table.

"C'mon Josh. You could be the father figure. I'm sure you and the kitten have much in common, yeah?" he laughed.

"Hey Leathan. Thanks for the invitation."

Turning from his teasing of his flatmate, Leathan gave a large smile to Benjy. "Of course mate," he said, grabbing a plate and yanking off the bangers that were ready. "Grab some food. And a beer. Remember lad, we're not at work," he said with a wink.

Josh, however, looking very unamused and shooting a death look at Leathan before he was interrupted, reached up to thunk Morela's forehead with his finger. "She's got your knack for thinking she's cuter than she is, I'd say," he teased. "You should stick her into the flat. She'll just end up being tossed on the grill when she mistaken for a large banger."

"Come on now Josh, where are those host skills I have heard so much about? How about a drink for a parched guest. And the beer better be good."

Glancing over, a grin grew on his face. "You're getting that mixed up, Riv love. It's my bedroom skills that are lauded about far and wide," he claimed, thumbing in the direction of the coolers. "And you should know, I never give less than the best. Even when it comes to the beer."

Jam entered at about that point and Leathan gave a nod at the lad and his offer to pitch in. "Sure thing, mate," he said, though based on the stagger that one was lost in, it wasn't an offer he was likely to take up anytime soon.
