Josh glowered after Rita as the witch sauntered off, her words at him being returned with a loud retort of his own:

"Do your worst, Skeeter! You're nothing but a two-bit wannabe as it is!" he roared. Then, dragging a hand through his hair, he turned and took in the stares being handed to him. "What the hell are ya'll looking at?"

"Hey..." Leathan said, his hands coming up in an effort to calm his mate down, "let it go, mate. Let it go. Now, why don't you take care of Morela there and, Benjy!" he called to the new Auror, "let go of River and get some food for the two of you. Hey, Jam?" he asked, looking over to the lad, "Why don't you bring your...friends..." he looked at the young lady and then Dam, "over and we'll pop open some more beers and get some laughs going, yeah?"

Josh, for his part, just grumbled, looked over at River and gave her an aplogetic look. "Sorry, love. Be back soon."

Then, reaching Morela, he helped his downed friend up, scooping her into his arms to prevent her from looking a fool while trying to walk - hexed as she was - and took her on inside.

Setting her down on the couch, he tugged out his wand. "Now, I"m not the best at this countercurse stuff....but..." with a wave and a mutter, he did what he could. "As for the wounds...I'll get some water and we'll do you up Muggle fashion, yeah?"

Not waiting on an answer, he headed into the kitchen, his eyes darting to Rocky's cage before he stopped. "Huh? Damn snake...thing breaks out of its cage a least once a week," he muttered before moving on.
