Jacquie

"And how is your internship working for you this year, love? Weren't you under the tutelage of Haddock last summer?"

Jacquie smiled and nodded. "This year I am under Mr Haverill. It's interesting comparing the different styles of the two." She sent another glare at the interrogator who hadn't said two words to her since he had gotten there. So much for things not being awkward. "It's going well. I am rather itching to start at the Academy though. I hear they didn't take too many students this year." Jacquie couldn't wait to start her training. She had been looking forward to this since she was a little girl. Although she had thought that she would be going into the same line of work as her mother and Leathan, not interrogation.

River

"Up to me, it would be more beer and more food,"

"And here I was, expecting a boxing match." River rubbed slightly at the places on her wrist where Benjy had held her down. There would undoubtedly be bruises there soon enough. She was going to get her little brother back soon enough. Taking a moment to check and see what Benjy was doing, River noticed Plum. "Plum! You missed all the excitement that follows Skeeter around like a stinking cloud. But on the plus side, you didn't miss out on the food or the beer! Get over here, there is someone I want you to meet." River reached out and grabbed Benjy by his collar, dragging him next to her so she could introduce him to Plum.

Beny gave an indignant sort of yelp and just glared at River. She was in for it as soon as they got home.
