"You've obviously not met my boss. The man has such a large ego that I'm still surprised he can fit that fat head through his office door. I'm sure he'd put any Auror to shame."

That made Benjy laugh. "Don't worry, if he is anything like Riv, I know exactly what you mean." Benjy's aurors weren't too egotistical. Sure, they were cocky, but it all came with the job. The needed to be confident, and sure of themselves. And if any of them ever got too big for their britches, Benjy and the other secretaries were there to bring them back down a peg or too.

Never offend the secretaries, you would regret it the rest of your life. Which they would make sure was a long time so they could torture you all the more.

"There's no one that I'm too particularly keen on finding and talking to. At least not anyone else."

That made Benjy smile and go slightly pink, running his hand through his hair. He heard River call out and throw him another beer and a lemonade, both of which he caught. He opened the bottle of lemonade for Plum and handed it to her. "It seems River can follow a simple instruction. Who'd have thought hey?"

"So how long have you worked for the Ministry?"

Ahh, back to the job talk, something he could do mostly without stuttering. "About two years now. And there was a year at the Academy before that. They make us learn all sorts of basic stuff. And I like doing my part you know? I'm not really cut out for field work, but I am good at my job, and most people dont realise how hard it is. W-what about you? How long have you been at the Prophet and what do you like about that? T-the w-way River talks about it makes it seem like a pretty interesting place." Mostly without stuttering.
