"Too busy for us? Now, that hurts, love. Hurts deeply even."

Athena couldn't help but roll her eyes. And it certainly wasn't the amused sort of roll, with a smile hidden below on her lips. No. Athena really did look rather pissed, with her dark brows pulled together and her mouth pressed into a grim line.

"That's too bad," she replied rather drily, moving away from him as Jeremy headed towards the kitchen. She sent a pointed look to Darby, begging an answer of him before she ended up kicking Jeremy out of his own flat. Because she would.

"Seems a lousy thing to do. Butter up a guy. I mean, all you birds need to do, really, is simply smile and bat your lashes and you can get what ya want,"

"Because leading a bloke on is better than trading favors," she snapped back. "Honestly, is it possible for you to look at a girl without just seeing a body that you'd like to possess?" Perhaps to two of the three parties in the room, it wouldn't be clear who the question was directed at. Athena's pride was a fragile thing, and when it was put under pressure, like now for instance, when Darby was ignoring her, it lashed out on its own.

"Take a seat, love. You can't drop in after weeks of nothing and expect to get away with anything less than a full fledged visit,"

"I'd rather not," she answered, setting the beer down. "I think I'll be going."

Perhaps the witch's mood was merely reflecting that of her Author's, but Athena was not in the frame of mind to be ignored by one boy and harrassed (in her opinion) by another. "See you in a month or so, maybe," she said, heading for the door.
