She watched, a complex mixture of pleased, shocked and strangely unsettled as Jeremy walked past her and out into the hallway, shutting the door behind him and leaving Athena alone with the source of her problems.

"Yeah. I'll do it."

She just shrugged. Part of her knew that was rather immature, and it would be best to say thanks and give him a spare key and instructions. But the other, larger part wasn't ready to back down yet. "Yeah," she said, moving to leave again.

"I've been a fuck up."

She jumped when he grabbed her hand, but instead of pulling away, she found that her hand held his back. She did miss him. She liked the way he made her feel, and she liked the way she could make him smile and such. "Yeah," she said, in full agreement. But perhaps it was mutual agreement, as portrayed by the way her eyes flew about the room, trying to find something to settle on.
