She snorted when he finished his first little speech, but that was probably Athena's response to anything serious at this point. It surely beat laughing at him, or at least that's what she thought. But at least he was putting a shirt on, that made things easier. Because really, he did look very nice without it.

"I'll take care of Drake. And...when you get back, if you still think I'm worth the effort, I'd like to take you out on a proper date. Somewhere nice. Not a match or a pub. Someplace, ya know, dressy. Maybe try to see if we can actually work this like a normal relationship."

An eyebrow arched. What did he mean by dressy? Maybe, maybe it would be nice to put on a dress for him or something like that, but it still freaked her out a bit. A lot. Whatever.

"Yeah," she said once he was finished. "I think... I think that would be good, you know?"

This felt awkward. Weird things were happening inside. She didn't want to go, but work was making her. Stupid work. Athena had never thought of work as stupid before, but quite suddenly, sending her to China was the most ridiculous thing she had ever heard of.
